My family is pioneer stock from Washington State. I grew up hearing stories about my Great-great-great Grandmother, who at the age of ten, walked barefoot behind the covered wagon, from Vermont to Washington State.

My interests, outside of my career, are gardening, canning, cooking, hiking, traveling, and I am an avid reader.
